The legacy of the China World Window on Pediatrics is the continuation of a tradition of excellence. In every session, the participants receive the latest information about hot topics in pediatrics and witness Johnson & Johnson’s great and persistent care for the discipline. The legacy of the World Window on Pediatrics is also the persistence to make self-improvements. The conference has developed along with rapid changes in science and technology, to integrate the latest conference technologies and make the transmission of information more profound and efficient. Finally, the legacy of the World Window on Pediatrics is a commitment to pediatricians, the promise to offer carefully selected topics, and the best educational and conference experience for all participating doctors.
Over the past 12 years, Johnson & Johnson World Window on Pediatrics has emphasized the strength of its persistence by the consistent pursuit of higher quality. This year, the delivery of three excellent lectures highlighted the quality of the conference. Neurology and pediatrics Professor Robert J. Baumann, from the Department of Neurology at the University of Kentucky, delivered a lecture entitled Pediatric Simple Febrile Seizure, providing detailed instructions for diagnosis of the disease and emphasizing less intervention during treatments. Pediatric Drug Development was delivered by Dr. Samuel D. Maldonado, Vice President of Janssen Pharmaceutical Ltd.’s Child Health Innovation and Leadership Department. He noted that medicine designed for children is different from that designed for adults, and that many challenges still exist in the experimentation with, and research and development and security of, pediatric medicine that require further efforts. A lecture titled Advancements in pediatric emergency and medical quality improvement in American pediatrics academic society conferences was delivered by Prof. Ren Xiaoxu, ICU, Capital Institute of Pediatrics. With a similar sentiment to that expressed by Prof. Robert J Baumann, Prof. Ren said that “it is seeing the persistence of everyone here and the understanding of recent years’ developments in Chinese pediatrics that give me the confidence to continue my in-depth research in the field and make contributions in areas where I am strong.” A Dr. Guo, who has participated in the China World Window on Pediatrics for three consecutive years, expressed his feeling that “the form of the conference was innovative and attractive. I have truly absorbed a lot and sincerely hope the conference can become better and better.”
The 12th Session of China World Window on Pediatrics may have ended, but it has also created a brand-new beginning: a drive to continue improving.
Johnson & Johnson has always believed in focusing on the latest international trends in pediatrics in order to improve children’s healthcare. For 12 years, due to persistent passion, innovation, and devotion to pediatrics, Johnson & Johnson has made China World Window on Pediatrics into a positive and irreplaceable brand. Li Qing, Senior Director of Medical Affairs and Medical Education, One China OTC, stated, “Johnson & Johnson always takes practical actions to carry out Our Credo, to perpetuate caring.” There are good reasons to believe that Johnson & Johnson’s strong belief, responsibility, and care for children will help it to achieve its perpetual dream.
